Agenda

I guess the agenda is a good way to show sts which steps we take so they don't feel lost. Also, I really like building the agenda with them because I believe they feel they're learning and progressing. But I'll try your way, Lesliê... Maybe it works for me too.

Celio, your idea is interesting but i also thought of sth different: what if we made a list (or bank!) of possible agenda models so we wouldn't keep repeating them? I know it'd be a bit hardworking, but I guess it'd be a profitable way to share ideas and ways of building agendas, everything connected with your picture bank.
I also tried to build them beforehand as I told you, Leslie. It worked well, but i'm still looking for sth simpler since i'm spending too much time searching for pics... ;)

No doubt preparing beforehand is ideal, but, in my case, it would be too time consumed.  Last semester I tried the picture agenda and it worked a great deal.
Your idea of creating a picture bank is cool, and I see no problem to do that, but the institution does not estimulate this, you know, but they don't tell you that you're prohibited to do it.

Just an idea

Just something that came to my mind. We could share a model of agenda (maybe one that we created and really enjoyed) so we can compare and discuss the weakenesses and strong parts of them here in the forum. What do you all think about that?

Using the agenda

Guys,
As I've already said in the last forum, I try to give each step a title  that would raise sts curiosity to know what's going on.  I perceived that the lecel of anxiety in the sts have reduced a great deal as they feel there's a logical sequence to accomplish.  I generally do it at the start, and sometimes I say what they'll be able to do.
What about you, what do you do?

Thank goodness you've posted sth.  Now we can start to have a dialog on line as it would be useless to book a presential pedagogic meeting.
Great stuff building an agenda with sts.  So tell us how you do it, when, their reaction, if it's effective to all groups you have, if it's time consuming, if you've noticed any change in your sts' behaviour, if you think building an agenda added sth positive to your classes, etc, etc, etc. :D

Hi João and Leslie!
I reckon the way you do the agenda is really interesting. However, I prefer doing it beforehand so I can show them what We will do during the lesson or build with them in the end in order to recap what we had studied.
Also, using pictures in the agenda is a nice way to make it more vivid, but I do not have to time to search for them. Can't we have a project in which we would make some models of agendas to use in some lessons? We could also have a library of pictures (different from the ones we have in the board progamme). Are we allowed to do that?
