I would appreciate your considerations about it as the amount of ionformation seemed to me a little bit tough to handle. Having another point of view will be of great value... Based on the ideas she presented, I believe we have a challenging work ahead. As you can see I still have some difficulties in this topic. Cheers, Luis

I'll try and aplly your technique of inventing titles that have to do with the topic and objectives of the lesson. Unfortunately, I didn't take any notes about the seminar I attended, and, on top of it, I was late. It was "Oral practice:building up students´ confidence & fostering conversation" It was delivered by Adriana Souza. She basically gave very good hints on how to work with drills, sth. that we have already seen in our seminars at our branch. I don't reckon seeing anything relevant besides what we've talked about in our own seminar. Next time, I promise to take notes!

Luis Thks for posting.  Concerning the agenda stuff, I have to agree with you, after all students come first.  What I do is write what I'm gonna do when the class starts adding up some comments about what they wil be able to do.  Of course I don't write "grammar", "listening", "speaking", etc, because it will make no difference for them.  Instead, I invent titles that have to do with the topic and my objectives. I guess I`ll open another forum just to discuss about agendas in a near future, what do you think Cheers

The activity presented by Carla may be adjusted to different levels. We just have to select the appropriate picture (visual input) according to group level. I’ll think about a theme and try to use it with my groups. As for the lecture by Valéria França, she gave us some suggestions on developing the agenda and the vocabulary page. She highlighted the importance of making the agenda and the vocabulary page a little bit fluid, i.e. intercalating them throughout the class. Moreover, she warned us to avoid using the same type of agenda every lesson, as this becomes too predictable. She also pointed out that by building the vocabulary page and the agenda with students we are eventually making the agenda and voc page the dynamic and living parts of the lesson (sic). My consideration about all she said is: Isn’t it a little bit time consuming to prepare the agenda in the classroom? I can’t really image myself trying to find icons in the library tool while the class is in development. I think it is useful to have some ideas beforehand. Cheers, Luis.

Basically, they have to draw pictures taken from the teacher and invent a story.  Later, she has a meeting with the groups in private to discuss what they are going to say in each scene (eliciting moment).  Finally, she records their voices on the story.
